Staff from the Perth office of Mansell Homes recently presented a national charity with a bumper donation of over £9,172.00, the result of a year long fundraising campaign.
2008 was Mansell’s centenary year, which the company marked by raising over £1 million for a number of good causes. The Perth teams charity of choice was Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS). This charity provides the only hospice services in Scotland for children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families.
The cheque was presented to CHAS representative, Elsa Sinclair by Ken Macarthur, General Manager with from left Gary Dysart, Mary Bryce, Lucy Oswald, Krystle Comer, Alan Arnott and Gordon Hadden.
Mansell Homes’ General Manager, Ken Macarthur commented: “A century in business was a hugely impressive milestone to reach and we were thrilled to be able to mark this feat by raising funds for such a worthwhile cause as CHAS”.

The Perth team put in a sterling effort in the Mansell Centenary Charity fundraising activities with a 12.5 mile walk.
Sixteen employees followed the East Neuk of Fife Coastal Trail from Lower Largo through the stunning scenery of Elie, St Monans, Pitenweem and Anstruther before reaching the final destination in Cellardyke.
The walk raised just under £3,000 for the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS).

The Mansell chariot has started it’s epic journey to visit all our Mansell offices. The Roman-themed bicycle began it’s tour of celebration from our Elgin office on the 30th July on route to our London office.
The Chariots aim is not only to celebrate our centenary, but also to raise as much money as possible for our charity challenge which aims to raise £1 million by the end of the year.
Our Perth office completed their part of the journey by arriving on time at our Edinburgh office on Friday 8th August despite leaving Perth amid torrential rain and flooding one day earlier.
Tenacity and perseverance proved that a Mansell team is never quick to give up and sunshine greeted our 6 champions at the end of their challenge.
